Boulder, Colo. – [September 27, 2007] – Applied Trust Engineering has played a key role in implementing IT infrastructure for the new, state-of-the art facility for The Children’s Hospital of Denver, which will open its doors on September 29.

Children’s new 1.45 million-square-foot hospital in Aurora, Colo. is 73 percent larger than its current facility, with nine floors and 270 beds, 14 operating rooms, two cardiology surgical operating rooms and nine minor surgical procedure suites. The new facility will allow Children’s to treat more than 100,000 children each year and provide them with access to the most modern technologies and advanced medical care.

Applied Trust was involved with the new hospital from the outset of the planning and construction process, providing expertise to Children’s IT staff in designing the new facility’s technology infrastructure from the ground up. The design process involved selecting the latest technologies and products best suited for the Children’s environment, with a focus on best practices, supportability and availability/reliability.
