Applied Trust Wins $1.47 Million US Geological Survey Contract

BOULDER, Colo. -- [September 20, 2007] -- Applied Trust Engineering announced today that it has won a contract from the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) to provide IT security and infrastructure services for its Advanced National Seismic System (ANSS) initiative.

The single-award, time-and-materials contract has a one-year base term with four one-year options for an estimated value of $1.47 million if the client exercises all options. This contract award is in addition to previous contracts that USGS has awarded to Applied Trust. The organization first began providing contracted services to USGS in 2003.

Applied Trust will deliver a variety of IT security and engineering consultation services for the Advanced National Seismic System. The ANSS is a national resource that gathers critical technical data and provides timely and reliable earthquake products, information and services to meet the needs of the earthquake monitoring, engineering and research communities as well as national, state and local governments, emergency response organizations and the general public.

"Applied Trust believes it has had a very rewarding relationship with the USGS over the past four years, and we are excited about the opportunity to continue providing high-value solutions for the broad range of ANSS IT security and infrastructure requirements," said Trent R. Hein, Applied Trust co-founder and chief executive officer.
