Applied Trust Celebrates Food-On-A-Stick Day |
| BOULDER, Colo. -- [October 24, 2005] -- On Friday, October 21, Applied Trust employees, friends, and family took time out to celebrate the wonderful world of food on a stick. Everyone was encouraged to contribute their favorite food-on-a-stick item, be it from a treasured family recipe, store-bought, or anything in between. Spectacular prizes were awarded in each of the following categories: - Best tasting food-on-a-stick
- Most creative food-on-a-stick
- Most authentic food-on-a-stick
This event was an Applied Trust first in that, by coincidence, none of the entries contained meat. In that regard, it was an interesting offset to the company's "Bacon Day IV: Trip of Seals" event, held earlier in the year. The following photos captured some of the fun. Where there's food-on-a-stick, there's life! | Andy, Trent, and Justin anxiously await the festivities. | | | Virgin Bloody Marys with a stick, caramel-covered marshmallows on a stick, and brownies on a stick were among the many entries. | | | Ben and Alena contributed chocolate banana cheesecake on a stick. | | | Ned's and Sarah's caprese salad on a stick was voted best tasting, while the Hein family's cookies and milk on a stick was deemed the most creative. | | | Scott's and Becky's caramel delights were voted most authentic food on a stick (i.e., "like Grandma used to make"). | | | Fried Twinkie® on a stick, anyone? Defibrillator not included. | | | The tasting finally begins! | | | A collective sugar buzz sets in. | | | Scott samples spanikopita on a stick while Becky savors the fried Twinkie on a stick. | | | Andy's Good Humor Strawberry Shortcake® bars wilted under the competition, though they were quite authentic. | | | Brad regales Krista and Scott with his tales of Twinkie frying. | | | No matter how the votes came in, everyone was a winner on Food-On-A-Stick Appreciation Day! | | | | | | | |
