BOULDER, Colo. -- [May 14, 2008] –- Applied Trust has been named to the Boulder County Business Report's 2008 Mercury 100 List, which ranks the 100 fastest growing private companies in Boulder and Broomfield counties. The company, based in Boulder, ranked 34th among those with annual revenues of more than $2 million, with 46% growth over the two-year revenue period measured. “We are excited to again be recognized as one of the fastest growing private companies in Boulder and Broomfield counties,” said Trent R. Hein, Applied Trust's CEO. “It’s interesting to note that although our revenue growth only increased by 2% over the 2007 list, our ranking jumped from 44th to 34th. Although some companies on the list showed much less growth than they had on the 2007 list, we’re proud to have shown consistent growth over the two time periods measured. Our focus is more on stability than speed, and I think our steady revenue growth reflects our success to date in achieving a sustainable business,” he added. Applied Trust has enjoyed year-over-year revenue growth every year since its founding in 2001. In addition to making the 2007 Mercury 100 List, the company was named to the 2007 Inc. 5,000 list of fastest growing companies in the United States, ranking at 2,296. The 2008 Mercury 100 List ranks companies based on revenue growth from 2005 through 2007. During that time Applied Trust's revenue increased from $1.86 million to $2.72 million, placing the company in 34th place at 46% growth. In 2007 Applied Trust had ranked 44th on the list, with 44% growth from 2004 through 2006. As with the 2007 list, two of Applied Trust’s clients also were named to the list for companies with annual revenues of more than $2 million: Rally Software Development, which was ranked fifth on the list with 227% growth over the two-year period, and OZ Architecture, which was ranked 20th with 70% growth. The list was announced at the 10th annual Mercury 100 event, which was held at the Boulder Theater on Wednesday, May 8, 2008. The full list was published in the May 9, 2008 edition of the Boulder County Business Report. About Applied Trust Engineering |
