"We are extremely pleased to have our company recognized among the fastest growing private companies in the area," said Trent R. Hein, Applied Trust's CEO. "It's especially exciting to be one of the few IT companies on the list, and to be listed among so many well-recognized success stories," he added.
Since its inception in 2001, Applied Trust has enjoyed year-over-year growth, exceeding its revenue goals each year as well. The 2007 Mercury 100 List ranks companies based on revenue growth from 2004 through 2006. During that time Applied Trust's revenue increased from $1.6 million to $2.3 million, placing the company in 44th place at 44% growth. Two of Applied Trust's clients also were named to the list for companies with annual revenues of more than $2 million: Rally Software Development, which topped the list with 13,378% growth over the two-year period, and OZ Architecture, which was ranked 18th with 114% growth.
The list was announced at The 10th annual Mercury 100 event, which was held Wednesday, May 9, 2007, at the Boulder Theater and honored the entrepreneurial achievements of the area’s hottest growing businesses. The full list will be published in the May 11, 2007 edition of the Boulder County Business Report.
"The awards event was an exciting atmosphere to be part of," noted Ned McClain, Applied Trust's CTO. "The Boulder and Broomfield area really has been a mecca for entrepreneurs over the years, and it's great to see recognition given for all of the hard work that goes in to starting, and growing, a successful business. To share in the buzz with other successful companies was really an honor."
