BOULDER, Colo. -- [April 3, 2008] –- Applied Trust Senior Engineer Terry Morreale was the featured speaker at the most recent quarterly CIO Forum for Women in IT, held April 1, 2008 and hosted by Panorama Orthopedic & Spine Center in Golden, Colo. Morreale’s presentation was on IT security. “I was honored to have been invited to present at the CIO Forum for Women in IT,” noted Morreale. “This is a remarkable group of female IT professionals, and I enjoyed the opportunity to share my knowledge of IT security and engage in a thoughtful panel discussion about it with other forum members. Security is one of the biggest issues facing the IT industry, and it was great to learn some different perspectives on how other IT professionals are addressing it.” The CIO Forum for Women in IT is a group of female IT professionals with management responsibilities in the greater Denver metropolitan area. The group was created to provide a forum for professional exchange of information, with featured speakers presenting topics of interest to the membership. The meetings offer both professional content as well as networking opportunities for members, who take turns hosting the meetings. Morreale’s presentation covered current IT security trends and statistics, including the most common security myths and the Seven Common Sense Rules of Security. Terry’s presentation was followed by a panel discussion including Christine Wilson, CIO of Panorama Orthopedic & Spine Center; Rita Pollock, CIO of Arapahoe County, and Marty Morey, Director of Information Security at FirstBank Data Corporation.
