| Applied Trust Ranks Seventh in Revenue Among Area IT Consulting Firms |

Boulder, Colo. -- September 15, 2008 -– Applied Trust Engineering has been ranked seventh in revenue among IT consulting firms in Boulder and Broomfield counties, according to survey results published by The Boulder County Business Report. “It’s great to be recognized again as a well-performing IT consultancy in the area,” noted Trent R. Hein, co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Applied Trust. “We feel that our solid revenue standing reflects the success of our unique approach of providing unbiased solutions for our clients, as well as our ability to create long-term relationships with our clients, a number of whom have been with us since we opened our doors in 2001.” Applied Trust reported an 18% increase in revenue from 2006 to 2007, from $2.3 million to $2.72 million. Last year the company was ranked ninth on the list, with a revenue increase of 44% from 2005 to 2006, from $1.6 million to $2.3 million. Applied Trust was the only Colorado-based company in the survey to be named to the 2008 Inc. 5,000 list of the nation’s fastest growing privately held companies. The company was ranked 3,978 with a three-year growth rate of 74%. Applied Trust has technical expertise in all areas of network infrastructure and security, including Unix, Linux, Solaris, and Windows. Specific offerings include security audits and assessments, incident management, IT policy and procedure development, disaster recovery planning, vulnerability and patch management services, quantitative performance analysis and ecoinfrastructure. In May, Applied Trust was named to The Boulder County Business Report's 2008 Mercury 100 List, which ranks the 100 fastest growing private companies in Boulder and Broomfield counties.
