Network Engineer

Consult with our clients in IT operations and on IT projects, with phases that include design, implementation, assessment, and management. Individuals need to be highly motivated and eager to learn. Knowledge of Cisco enterprise routing, switching, and security platforms is required.

Key contributions of a Network Engineer at Applied Trust include:

  • Designing, implementing, assessing, and managing networks that include a variety of technologies, including Cisco, TCP/IP, Linux, Unix, and Microsoft.
  • Troubleshooting network-related issues.
  • Performing security, performance, and availability assessments.
  • Managing and resolving open IT issues.
  • Evaluating and implementing new technology.
  • Debugging user-reported problems.
  • Monitoring systems and networks.
  • Integrating applications into a high-performance, quality-managed network environment (includes VOIP).
A BS or MS in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or ECE is required, as is a Cisco CCNA or CCNP certification. Minimum experience is 2 years working as a network engineer. Excellent troubleshooting, planning, time management, multitasking, and communications skills required.
