We've developed the Applied Trust Engineering (ATE) Canon in an effort to support ATE employees, ATE clients, and our profession in general. This Canon outlines our organizational culture, which fosters a creative, rewarding, and balanced work environment that empowers our employees and clients alike to produce successful, highly technical, personalized security and infrastructure solutions. Article 1: First Things First
We recognize that our success is driven by every member of our team (including clients and partners) living a peaceful, happy life. We will encourage and support our fellow teammates when they need to put family, health, or personal needs first, realizing that everyone must be happy, healthy, and secure before they can succeed at work. Article 2: Technical Excellence
We will not stop until we're satisfied that we've achieved the highest level of technical excellence on every project we work on. We're perfectionists. We thirst for new knowledge and skills. Most important, we work with our clients to understand their business and provide the solution that is right for them. Article 3: Accountability
We take ownership and responsibility for the projects and tasks we work on. We deliver on promises and are determined to produce the highest level of technical excellence. We take credit when we do something right, and we're the first ones to admit when we've done something wrong. We are there from start to finish and every step of the way. Article 4: Ethics
We are passionate and very serious about demonstrating the highest level of ethical behavior. This includes acting honestly, responsibly, and fairly in every aspect of the work we do. We are meticulous in protecting the information assets, digital security, and infrastructure of our clients, and we respect and believe in preserving client privacy and confidentiality. Article 5: Teamwork
We, not I, drive success for our clients. We know that a great team is better than the sum of its individuals. We communicate openly and we collaborate effectively. We teach one another, and we learn from one another. Article 6: Attitude
We work at Applied Trust because we want to, not because we have to. We are fanatical about technology, and we enjoy the work we do. We put our hearts into our work, and it shows. And although we are highly technical experts, we believe in humility and respect for others. Article 7: Win-Win
We believe in the win-win situation. We work on projects that excite us and add value to our clients. We know the value we are providing to our clients because we work hard at understanding their business and their needs. We know that value does not equal the cost of a project. We are successful when we can provide the highest level of value at the lowest possible cost. Article 8: Balance
We value the importance of a good balance between our life at work and our life outside of work. We live in Colorado for a reason. We like to take advantage of the playground that surrounds us. This healthy balance between work and play keeps us happy and motivated day in and day out. Article 9: Trust
We work hard to gain and retain the trust of our employees and our clients. We are open and honest. We believe that everyone working at ATE is a stakeholder and has a right to as much information regarding the state of the business as possible. We want our employees to feel secure by knowing and understanding all aspects of our business. We want our clients to feel secure knowing they can trust us. Article 10: Community
We work hard to protect the dignity of our profession and the community we are a part of. We appreciate our community and believe in contributing time and resources to better the lives of those around us. |
